I heard a teacher suggest in a lecture, “If you’re struggling to think through a problem, write it out. Writing is thinking in ink.” As I wrote it down, I thought it was good advice.

I’m going to use this platform to think through stuff. Perhaps, my thoughts will help you. That would be a nice outcome.

I’m John. The beautiful woman in the picture is my wife of 22 years. Jeremiah, Micah and Hannah live in our house. They are loud, messy, and are annoying sometimes. We keep them around because…well, they’re our kids and we love them dearly.

I am a Christian, but I wasn’t always. I had to overcome a lot of doubts, some still chase me around occasionally. After pastoring in a church for 15 years, I’m embracing a new adventure.

We like to keep it exciting. We like living in that place right between adventure and security. If nothing else, it makes for great writing material.
